Welcome to SAILDC

Sustaining Active Independent Living in Dallas Center, Inc. (SAILDC) connects Dallas Center volunteers with people in the area who need assistance to continue living independently and actively in our community. We provide an umbrella of liability coverage for all volunteers and clients.

Our Program

This first year, SAILDC will:

Please Volunteer

All of our services depend on volunteer availability. Whether you can help by taking phone calls and scheduling assistance, raising funds, driving people to appointments or church, or helping with grocery shopping and delivery, we need you. Volunteers can specify what they want to do, how often, and when they are available. To volunteer, please call 515-344-2074, or print an application from this site or contact any of our SAILDC Board Members. Your offer to provide one trip or more a month can make a big difference in your neighbors' lives. You can change your volunteer preferences anytime to better fit your schedule. Volunteers are always provided all relevant "who, what, when, and where" information when asked if they can provide a ride for someone.

Those who volunteer to drive must provide a copy of their driver's license and a copy of their vehicle insurance summary.

To Receive Help

Individuals who wish to receive services must complete and turn in an application. A volunteer may make a home visit to make sure we can help. There is no charge for our services. Please call 515-344-2074 or print an application from this site or contact any of our SAILDC Board Members to receive information, application forms, and help.
